Rural Education program, aim is to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for students in rural communities.
- To celebrate and honor rural student’s unique experiences, way of learning and perspectives.
- To increase access to post-secondary education, vocational education and career opportunities.
- To foster community engagement and support to rural education in their communities.
Activities set up for this program,
- school re-innovations; (classroom extensions, buildings, school kitchen, toilets and latrines, water facilities among others)
- scholastic materials; (blackboards, chairs, tables, books, classroom furniture, office furniture etc)
- Teacher trainings and support
- Parent and family engagement programs to create awareness about rural education and its values.
- Extra co-curricular activities and play toys for the children, as an additional skill to their education.
- By addressing these challenges and goals, rural education programs can help to ensure equitable access to quality education for rural students preparing them for the success of their future.
